The play at a glance

Roxxi takes the spotlight on a small music stage

Roxxi stands between red speaker columns, wearing a patterned cap, dark jacket and flared trousers. A white guitar rests beside a little stool, and a microphone stand marks the front of the performance space. Silver scrollwork and the Rock Angelz name form the backdrop.

The Concert Stage combines a place to pose the doll with built-in speakers for music. Imagine an announcer welcoming the band, then letting Roxxi introduce the first song.

Bring music to the stage

The original instructions describe a line cord running from a CD player or similar audio source to the stage’s side audio socket. A switch on the back turns the built-in speakers on, and the source player controls the volume. An adult prepares the three-AA battery compartment before use.

The set includes Roxxi, a guitar, microphone with stand, stool, small accessories and a CD. A player can arrange the performance area before choosing the music, deciding where the singer stands and where a visiting band member might join the scene.

Give the performance a turn

A wheel on the back turns the doll’s platform by hand. The guide shows Roxxi standing securely on it while the player turns the wheel. This gives a performance a visible change of direction: toward the audience for an introduction, then around for the next pose.

Imagine a concert with three parts: a lively welcome, a quieter middle and a celebratory finish. The player supplies the song titles and spoken introductions. A paper sign can name the venue, and small drawn tickets can give friends a place in the audience.

Design a three-part concert

  1. Choose a band name and draw a sign for the venue.
  2. Invent three song titles: an opener, a quieter song and a finale.
  3. Sketch where the singer, guitar and microphone will go.
  4. Write a brief introduction for each part of the show.
  5. Finish with a thank-you to the imaginary audience.

This original Toysit play idea works with the stage, a cardboard platform or a drawing. The player supplies the performance and can speak the introductions aloud.

The historical record

Original Toysit coverage

The original product account and broader discussion are preserved below as historical coverage.

Bratz Rock Angelz music platform

The Bratz Rock Angelz rock the mic and strut their stuff center stage, under real working strobe lights. Comes with cool doll accessories like performance stools, speakers, and an electric guitar. Real working speakers plug into your CD player or stereo.

Despite its popularity, Bratz faced criticism for its edgy appearance and suggestive clothing, with some parents and educators expressing concern about the dolls' influence on young girls' self-image and values. The controversy highlighted the ongoing debate about the balance between encouraging individuality and promoting age-appropriate content.

Sources and editorial notes

All four printed pages of MGA’s Concert Stage instructions, revision 0605-1, were visually reviewed through two public ManualMachine scans. The original package confirms the included Roxxi edition. The guide documents wired speakers and a platform turned by a rear wheel; the earlier strobe-light claim remains in the preserved historical account. The supplied disc’s original computer extras are historical software, with present-day compatibility untested. The set-list activity is original; no physical testing was performed.
