Three friends, three different ways to dress for an outing

The original Step Out! photograph brings the three dolls together with spare garments and shoes. It is an invitation to imagine where the friends are going and how each will choose a look for the occasion.
Choose a detail that carries the look
Yasmin’s pink-toned accessories echo her top, while Sasha’s gold bag picks up the brighter lines in her outfit. Cloe’s purple-and-black layers give her a different shape from the two dolls beside her. These visible choices make each outfit easy to describe before a story begins.
A player could imagine the friends meeting at a cafe. Give one a reason to arrive early, another a sketchbook to share and the third an idea for the afternoon. Their interests and conversation can grow from the player’s own story.
Change the occasion and the outfit
The original packages show each doll with an additional fashion arranged alongside her. A change of top, skirt, shoes or bag can mark the move from one scene to another. Try placing a small invitation next to each chosen combination so the outfit has a destination.
For a second scene, imagine a music night with a welcome sign and a short performance. One friend might introduce the show, another might perform and another might design the poster. The same characters can share a day while each has something different to contribute.
Two invitations, two outfits
- Write one invitation to a cafe gathering and another to an imaginary music night.
- Choose a doll or draw a character who will attend both.
- Sketch an outfit for each occasion, naming one detail you want people to notice.
- Add a small task for the character at each event: welcoming a guest, sharing a drawing or introducing a song.
- Tell the story of the journey between the two places.

Original fifth-anniversary Step Out! packages for Yasmin, Cloe and Sasha were visually reviewed and matched to the three-doll promotional photograph.
