Bratz Recording Studio
Explore the Bratz Rock Angelz Recording Studio’s red booth, doll-sized headset and ten-second recording microphone, then create a short radio greeting and album cover.

The play at a glance
A red recording booth and a microphone for your voice
A red frame surrounds the studio window, with black scrollwork curling along its sides and an ON AIR sign above. A small microphone hangs inside the booth. In front, a separate silver microphone lies beside a doll-sized headset and miniature drinks.
The booth gives a Bratz doll a place in the scene; the larger microphone lets the player add a short voice recording. Imagine a band introducing a new song, greeting its listeners or trying out a cheerful station announcement.
Record a little introduction
The microphone stores a ten-second clip. With its switch on, the player speaks into the top while pressing Record, then presses Play to hear the result. The recording remains until another clip replaces it. Turn the microphone off after the session.
Try a greeting with a clear beginning and ending: introduce the imaginary band, name its new song and welcome the audience. A short message gives each word a job. Listen to the result, choose one detail to change and record another version.
Give the doll a role in the session
The studio door opens so a doll can enter the booth. The set’s headset and miniature refreshments add small details to the scene. One character might be preparing to perform while another, supplied by the player, announces the next recording.
Imagine naming the session after a place or a color: Moonlight Station or Red Room Radio. Draw a matching cover and let the doll introduce it. The voice in the recording can be the player’s own announcer character.
The original microphone uses three AG13/LR44 button cells. An adult should handle replacements, secure the battery cover and keep loose cells out of children’s reach.
Create a ten-second radio greeting
- Invent a station name and a band name.
- Write a greeting short enough to say comfortably in ten seconds.
- Practice it aloud, leaving a clear pause between the names.
- Record and listen using the toy microphone or another familiar recorder.
- Draw an album cover that matches the mood of the greeting.
This original Toysit activity also works as a spoken performance with a paper microphone. The names, dialogue and artwork are created by the player.

Sources and editorial notes
Both pages of MGA’s Recording Studio operating sheet, revision 0405-0, were visually reviewed through a public ManualMachine scan. The diagrams match the standalone booth and silver microphone in Toysit’s photograph. The sheet specifies ten-second recording and playback and describes the base set; character bundles are separate editions. Its contents and controls establish the distinction between the doll props and the player’s recording microphone. The radio greeting and cover design are original activities; no physical testing was performed.
