Disney Princess & Me: invite a princess into an everyday adventure
Cinderella in blue, Ariel in sea-green and Aurora in pink become guests in a player-created day of visits, questions and shared discoveries.

The play at a glance
A familiar character comes to visit
The three dolls in Toysit’s photograph wear very different storybook outfits: Cinderella’s wide blue skirt, Ariel’s shimmering sea-green tail and Aurora’s bright pink gown. Crowns and long hair give each a dressed-for-an-occasion appearance. Imagine that the occasion is a visit to your own pretend reading corner.
Princess & Me was a JAKKS Pacific line of large companion dolls. A 2010 Toys“R”Us announcement described five 18-inch characters, including these three. Their scale suggests the central play idea: give a familiar princess a place beside you in a story, then supply both sides of the conversation.
Let the guest notice something ordinary
A royal visit can begin with a very small discovery. Cinderella might ask why a bookmark has a tassel. Ariel could wonder what a bird feeder is for. Aurora might hear someone tapping a rhythm on the table. These are dialogue ideas for the player: the dolls provide the characters, while the questions turn the room into a setting.
Choose one thing the host enjoys showing. A drawing can become a gallery exhibit, a folded paper ticket can announce a concert, and a storybook can open a pretend library. Leave space for the guest to offer an idea of her own. Perhaps she suggests a new name for the gallery’s most mysterious picture.
Try a royal visitor itinerary
An original Toysit activity: plan a short visit with one destination and one shared keepsake.
- Draw the invitation. Choose a reading corner, pretend garden or music room. Put a simple picture of the destination on a card and give the visit a name.
- Prepare a welcome. The host chooses one thing to show. The guest brings one question, such as “Which sound starts the concert?”
- Play the visit twice. Speak for both characters or share the roles with another player. Then swap host and guest so the second visitor sees a different detail.
- Keep one memory. Draw something they enjoyed together on the back of the invitation: a flower, a musical note or an imaginary book cover.
Any doll or paper character can join the visit. A paper place card supplies a seat in the story, and the player can describe each move between destinations.
Give the next visit a small surprise
Save the invitation and change just one detail next time. The garden’s smallest flower might have opened, or the library might have received a book with a blank cover. Let the guest suggest what happens next, and finish when both characters have contributed something to the day.
