The play at a glance

A small town with several different jobs

Stack ’n Surprise Sillytown combines stacking spots with a roller, a tumbling tower, a ramp and storage. Its appeal is the change from something a child does to something the toy does in response.

Start at one station. Repeat an action, pause, then decide whether to try another. There is no need to keep every part of the town moving at once.

Match an action to its result

The P6235 instructions illustrate four distinct actions. That is a clearer way to approach the set than treating “the town starts jumping” as a description of every surface.

Spin the roller
Music accompanies the blocks’ up-and-down motion.
Lift the bin door
The storage area opens for putting in and taking out, with a musical response.
Press the tower lever
A stack tumbles down with sound effects.
Press the ramp lever
A vehicle block starts rolling down the ramp.

Use the matching vehicle block for the ramp. A familiar-looking block from another range is not automatically a replacement.

Try one station, then a return

For this original activity, choose one action and make room for its result. A simple story might be a block visiting the tower and then going back into storage.

  1. Choose a block and a place for it to go.
  2. Place it there, then pause before starting the action.
  3. Use the matching control and watch what changes.
  4. Bring the block back to the bin, or choose to repeat the same visit.

A caregiver can say “up,” “down,” “inside” or “back again” as the action happens. There is no need to ask the child to repeat the words. If pressing the same lever is the favorite part, keep the story short enough to leave room for repetition.

When another player joins, give them a clear job: choose the next block, receive it at the bottom or help put it away. Change jobs after a turn rather than requiring both people to reach for the same control.

Build without rushing toward the effect

Try a quiet round of placing and removing blocks before activating a station. Give a short stack time to stand. Then decide together whether to leave it, move it or use the tower’s tumble action.

The toy supplies a repeatable response; the players supply the reason for it. One round can be a block party, another a delivery, and another simply looking at the faces. None of those needs to become a test of colors, numbers or speed.

Check the assembled town

The guide shows adult assembly with screws and identifies the sound box, bin, ramp, house, tower pieces and fence. Compare an older set with those drawings rather than rebuilding it from the publicity photograph. Check the structure and secured battery cover before play.

The power control offers low and high volume as well as off. Choose the setting that suits the space and switch off when finished. Follow the P6235 care directions: a mild-soap damp cloth, with no immersion. Gather loose blocks at the end so the next visit begins with a clear play area.
