Hot Wheels RC Stealth Rides
Unfold the miniature racing car, drive a short indoor route and return it to its controller case using the documented fold button.
The play at a glance
The carrying case becomes the controller
Stealth Rides combines a miniature car with a thin case that also serves as its transmitter. Taking the car out, opening it for driving and putting it away are all part of the design.
Choose a clear indoor play space and learn that transition first. Then try a short outward-and-return route, with time to stop and reorient before parking.
Open it with the intended button
The guide says to remove the car from its transmitter and place it on the play surface, then press the Transformation Button. A separate Fold Button returns it to the flat storage shape. Bending the sides by hand can break the mechanism.
Locate both buttons in the diagram before starting. Let the change finish and look at how the wheels and body sit in the two configurations. This makes the case-to-car transition easier to recognize without treating a resistant part as something to force.
Match the controls to the car
The reviewed sheet uses matching channel 3 or 4 settings on car and transmitter. Check the actual labels on your set before following that diagram. It describes infrared control: point the transmitter toward the car, keep the line of sight clear, and prefer indoor play.
Begin with one car. Use the full control illustrations to distinguish straight movement from turning while moving forward or backward. The tiny body can make orientation easy to lose, so pause to identify its front before choosing the next input.
Drive out, turn, and return
Choose a short route on a clear, dry surface with plenty of room away from edges. Imagine a parking area at the start and a destination a short distance away; no raised barriers or loose obstacles are needed.
Drive toward the destination, stop, and decide how to come back. You might use reverse for one attempt and a roomy forward turn for another, following the guide’s controls. Compare the two routes by how clearly you could keep track of the car, rather than by speed.
If two people are sharing, one can describe the planned route before the other drives. Swap roles after parking. A complete trip can be brief enough to repeat without turning the session into a race.
Make putting away part of the activity
The car and transmitter use separate button-cell batteries; the manual assigns installation and compartment closure to an adult with the appropriate tools. It also excludes sand, water and snow from driving.
After the car stops, follow the illustrated folding and storage sequence, including the Fold Button. The controller case gives the session a natural ending: the vehicle returns to the object you started with.
Before lending a set, explain the opening and folding controls as well as the driving controls. Do not assume that someone familiar with an ordinary Hot Wheels car will recognize this mechanism. The matching guide is more useful here than instructions for a Stealth Rides tank or another miniature RC range.

Radio-controlled vehicle fun anywhere and everywhere
The commercials for these vehicles show them being used in a classroom setting. Obviously, that is only to make a point, that they are quiet and quick and can be controlled to go out and then return. The commercial also shows that Hotwheels RC Stealth Rides are tremendous fun, so much so that kids cannot stop playing with these remote control cars, even when in school.
The enduring legacy of Hot Wheels is reflected in the multi-generational appeal they possess. Parents who once played with these tiny cars now share the joy of Hot Wheels with their children, creating a bond between generations.
