FurReal Friends Tan Puppy
The tan FurReal puppy has a red collar, a raised tail and a toy bone. Explore its touch-and-sound play and invent a household welcome committee.

The play at a glance
A new arrival with a bright red collar
The tan puppy rests with its tail lifted, a red collar around its neck and a matching toy bone nearby. Its shaggy face suggests a character eager to join a small household scene. A touch to the back brings movement and dog sounds into that scene, while the bone supplies a pretend treat for the new arrival.
A greeting told through movement and sound
The 70232 guide describes the puppy moving up and down when its back is gently petted, accompanied by panting and occasional barking. Its sound repertoire also includes sniffing, licking, yawning, whining and growling. A player can use one response as a cue for the next line of a story.
The supplied bone meets a feeding sensor near the mouth and prompts licking sounds. That makes a simple pretend sequence: say hello, offer the toy treat and decide where the visitor will settle. The puppy’s electronic responses provide the punctuation, while the players invent the conversation.
The guide gives the toy an automatic sleep response after a few quiet minutes and describes waking it with a back touch. An adult can handle batteries and follow the matching care directions. Keep actual food and drink away from the puppy.
Form a puppy welcome committee
Choose three household characters from toys or drawings. Give each a different welcome: a bear offers a tour, a rabbit shows a quiet resting spot and a paper bird announces an imaginary picnic.
Make one welcome card with the puppy’s chosen name. Each committee member adds a symbol: a door for the tour, a moon for the resting spot or a basket for the picnic. Place the card where everyone can see it.
Let the first character introduce a choice: “Would you like to see the window or the book corner?” A second player gives the puppy an invented reply. If the actual toy makes a sound, decide together how that sound fits the scene; with a plush toy or drawing, players can make the sound themselves.
Give every host a moment
Move through the three greetings, letting the puppy choose something at each stop. The tour might end at a sunny patch on a drawn rug. The resting spot might acquire a striped cushion. The picnic can take place entirely in a picture.
Finish with a thank-you message on the back of the welcome card. Name one detail contributed by each host. On the next visit, switch the roles: the puppy can be the resident welcoming a new character to the household.
