Taiyo Edge Mutator RC
Picture the striped Taiyo Edge Mutator in its changing poses, then design a four-pose festival character on paper.

The play at a glance
One striped character, several striking poses
The Taiyo Edge Mutator wears bright orange stripes along a black body, with shiny silver wheel centers and a blue-and-green handset beside it. In the original photograph its body rises over the wheels, giving the little machine a poised, almost theatrical stance.
The shape changes as well as the journey
The manufacturer’s guide describes a mutation button on the back of the transmitter. Holding it moves the vehicle through a cycle; releasing it selects a position. The guide names four main poses—Racer, Stunt, Jump and Monster—with positions between them.
That gives the toy a visual rhythm: low, raised, tilted one way, tilted the other. The orange stripes help the eye follow the same body through the change. A player might imagine it taking a bow, looking over a parade crowd or arriving at a tiny festival stage.
For powered use, follow the matching guide’s handling and location instructions, including waiting for the vehicle to stop before picking it up. The paper activity below explores the changing silhouette as a character-design idea.
Try this: Four-pose costume sheet
Divide a sheet into four panels. Draw an imaginary vehicle in a different pose in each panel, keeping the same stripe design so it remains recognizable throughout the day.
- Greeter: choose a welcoming pose at the festival entrance. Add a speech bubble inviting visitors inside.
- Parade leader: give the vehicle a confident outline and draw the route’s first landmark behind it.
- Stage visitor: tilt the imaginary body into a bow or another greeting. Decide what the announcer says.
- Garage host: draw a relaxed final pose while the vehicle welcomes its friends back for a celebration.
Add one costume detail to the drawings—a badge, a painted star or a flag in the background—then check that the original stripes still connect all four pictures. All costume additions belong on paper.
Connect the poses into a story
Ask another storyteller to put the panels in order and narrate the festival visit. If they choose a surprising sequence, invent a reason for it: perhaps the parade started at the garage, or the greeter was invited onto the stage. The same four drawings can tell more than one story.

An R/C vehicle that can adjust its wheel clearance to adapt to different terrains takes remote-controlled fun to an entirely new level. This feature allows young enthusiasts to explore various landscapes, from rocky outcrops to sandy dunes, without worrying about the limitations of their vehicle. With the press of a button, kids can alter the vehicle's height, making it agile on flat surfaces for speed and elevating it for rough terrains to ensure better traction and stability. This dynamic adaptability amplifies the excitement, as it mimics the complexities and capabilities of real-world vehicles. It also introduces children to basic engineering concepts, as they begin to understand how ground clearance affects performance. The multifunctionality of the vehicle encourages problem-solving, as children must evaluate the terrain and adjust the clearance accordingly for optimal performance. It also adds a layer of strategy to playtime, making it more interactive and engaging. Whether it's racing on a smooth track or conquering rugged landscapes, an R/C vehicle with adjustable wheel clearance provides a versatile and exhilarating play experience that captivates the imagination and curiosity of young adventurers.

Taiyo Edge’s complete 2350-US guide for models 2350/2351 was read, and both illustrated sheets were inspected. It describes four main mutation positions and intermediate positions, controlled by holding and releasing a button. Its vehicle and transmitter diagrams match the pictured design; the precise battery-package revision remains unconfirmed. Original speed, terrain, warranty and battery statements remain historical coverage. No physical testing was performed.
