The play at a glance

Four ponies gather around a colorful little café

A purple-and-pink café opens around a counter, an oven and a small table. Four colorful ponies fill Toysit’s original photograph, turning the shop into a ready-made gathering. Cups and plates suggest the next part of the story: choosing a seat, placing an order and sharing the news of the day.

A pony’s visit brings two small surprises

The manufacturer sheet shows a pony’s hoof brought to the cash register and oven. It identifies these as magnetic play features: the register opens, while the oven opens to reveal a pie. Hasbro’s product description also says the cotton-candy tray spins during the register action.

Those reveals can punctuate a café story. A guest places an imaginary order, the host visits the counter and a pie appears ready to serve. The miniature actions provide the moments; the player supplies the greeting, choices and conversation.

A table for the pictured pony group

Toysit’s original bundle names Cotton Candy, Meadowbrook, Sparkleworks and Star Swirl. With four characters, a player can imagine a host and several visitors arriving at different times. One might bring a drawing, another suggest a picnic and a third ask about the day’s special.

The small table gives those different ideas a meeting place. Try telling the scene from each visitor’s point of view: what did they hope to find, and what will they tell a friend afterward? A paper sign can announce a new café occasion each time.

Draw a two-choice café menu

  1. Name a paper café and draw two pretend treats.
  2. Add a simple picture beside each choice so guests can point to an order.
  3. Draw a host and two pony visitors.
  4. Tell three moments: a welcome, an order and a thank-you.
  5. Let a guest suggest tomorrow’s special and add it to the sign.

This original activity uses drawings and paper characters. For an existing set, match the pictured pony and play features to the 60231 sheet when identifying its original accessories.
