SpongeBob SquarePants — Original Theme Highlights
SpongeBob’s Original Theme Highlights pairs a smiling yellow cover with seven familiar titles and an original undersea sound-sign booth activity.

The play at a glance
A grin as big as an undersea welcome
SpongeBob’s blue eyes, two front teeth and wide grin fill the yellow cover, with his red tie peeking into the picture. The seven-title program brings together the theme, character songs and an instrumental selection. It is a compact collection of names and situations that can prompt a tiny undersea neighborhood made from paper.Imagine a place for every little sound
The original list includes “Loop De Loop,” “Ripped Pants” and “F.U.N. Song,” with performer names ranging from Ween to SpongeBob and Plankton. The cover supplies one cheerful face; your own story can add the neighbors, shops and visitors around it.
Picture a small street on the sea floor. A café might serve imaginary seaweed sandwiches, a repair shop might mend a paper submarine, and a visitor center might hand out maps. Give each doorway a sign a newcomer could recognize.
Build an undersea sound-sign booth
Fold three pieces of paper so they stand on a table. Draw a café on one, a repair shop on another and a visitor center on the third. Add a large symbol to each: a cup, a wrench and a map.
Choose an original signal for each place. The café could greet visitors with two soft finger-taps; the repair shop might use a spoken “Ready!”; the visitor center could offer a broad wave. A gesture or a pointed picture works just as well as a sound.
Move a drawn fish visitor along the street. One player gives the signal, and another chooses the matching doorway. Once the visitor arrives, act out a tiny exchange: ordering lunch, collecting a repaired submarine or asking for the route to a concert.
Let the neighborhood change its signs
Swap the signals and make a new signboard to show the changes. Now the visitor has to check the board before setting off. A companion can be the friendly guide who explains what each symbol means.
Finish by inventing a fourth place together. Perhaps it is a lost-and-found booth for wandering shells. Draw its sign, choose a gentle greeting and give the visitor one final errand. Optional music can introduce the scene; the signals and dialogue are your own.
