Amazing Ally
Meet Amazing Ally and her white kitten, explore the tea-party theme of the original coverage, and make invitations for a gathering of story-loving guests.

The play at a glance
A small companion joins the tea party
Ally’s striped sleeves bring bright color to her dark pinafore, and a white kitten waits beside her shoes. A pink line connects the kitten to her hand. The pair give this version of Amazing Ally a ready-made story: a friend arrives for a visit and brings a pet along.
A talking host and a kitten guest
Toysit’s earlier description presents Ally as a talking doll with a moving mouth and a collection of stories, jokes and games. It describes her white kitten purring and meowing, and lists tea-party pieces and grooming accessories with this edition.
Those details give the play a sociable setting. A host can welcome a visitor, make room for a pet and choose something to talk about. The kitten adds another character to look after and another reason for the guests to pause, laugh or change their plans.
Let each guest bring a story
Imagine a gathering where every guest has something to share. A plush bear might have seen an unusually shaped cloud; a doll might bring a drawing; the kitten might have found a sunny spot beside the window. Players can invent each visitor’s news and decide who speaks next.
A paper place card gives each guest a seat. Add a small picture beside the name to suggest a favorite subject: a flower for the gardener, a star for the sky watcher or a paw print for the pet’s companion. These are details created for your gathering.
Give the party a small surprise
Try adding one gentle change halfway through the visit. An extra guest arrives, the picnic moves to a pretend indoor café, or someone has brought a mysterious drawing. The host can find another seat and invite everyone to help explain the picture.
Ally’s recorded responses can accompany the scene when a working set is used with its own instructions. Players supply the guests’ dialogue and the party’s unfolding story. The same gathering also works with ordinary dolls, plush toys or drawn characters.
Make invitations for a story tea party
- Choose three guests, including an animal if you like.
- Draw an invitation showing where the party will happen.
- Make a seating plan and give every guest a place.
- Draw one small piece of news beside each name.
- Welcome the guests in turn and tell their stories.
This original activity uses paper invitations and an imagined gathering. Pretend refreshments can be drawn on the page.
The historical record
Original Toysit coverage

An amazing doll that girls really want.
Amazing Ally, the smartest doll to ever host a tea party, now comes with a pet kitten to entertain little girls. Ally already keeps a volume of ready stories behind her pretty lips, and remembers all of your child's favorite information and biggest secrets. She still knows how to throw one heck of a slumber party (with the right accessory pack), or give tips on in-line skating or ballet. And yes, her vocabulary is still fab, girlfriend. But her fluffy white kitty is a new addition. Using the same technology that makes Ally respond realistically, her kitten purrs and meows when it receives attention from Ally or your child. Included with this doll is one interactive outfit, interactive accessories for kitty, grooming accessories, and tea party gear. Once your child is familiar with what makes Ally tick, fun to spare will be had by all.
Ally's age is timeless, she's the same age as you are. And of course she likes to do the same things you do. She's spunky and has an adorable, fun loving personality. Her voice is full of energy and excitement. Her wit is sharp and she'll keep you on your toes. She will be your best friend that will play and interact with you in exciting new ways. Ally really comes to life. Even her mouth moves. She is as smart as you are and she will teach you things and you will teach her things. Ally thinks, remembers, tells stories, tells jokes, plays games and shares amazing adventures with you, like your birthday, your favorite color or hobbies, or the last time you went on an adventure together. Ally is the most technologically advanced doll ever. She contains a state-of -the-art high capacity central processing unit and 32 megabits of internal voice memory. She's totally expandable. Expand Ally's intelligence, memory and adventures with the AdventureWare Playsets. Each playset includes an additional 8 megabits of voice memory. A complex overlay of resistor technology allows Ally to verify multiple items for up to 50 playsets.
Sources and editorial notes
This profile draws on Toysit’s retained kitten-edition photograph and original account. A complete matching manufacturer guide remains unrecovered, so the article attributes the moving-mouth, kitten-sound and supplied-accessory descriptions to that account. Detailed setup, card controls, expansion compatibility and technical memory claims await edition-specific documentation. The invitations and gathering are original editorial suggestions.
