The original square cover carries a Game Boy Advance banner and a helmeted SpongeBob. This handheld Battle for Bikini Bottom builds its adventure from jumps, bubble actions and trips through familiar undersea places, giving the cheerful hero a succession of small routes to explore.
A route through Bikini Bottom
The GBA booklet sets up Plankton’s robot trouble and gives SpongeBob a bubble wand, jumping and gliding actions. Three golden spatulas open a stage’s exit warp. Friends appear along the journey, and Mystery the seahorse, a unicycle and the Invisible Boatmobile bring different movements to particular outings.
The manual arranges the adventure into four chapters with regular stages, bonus visits and a boss encounter in each. Its illustrated locations range from neighborhood streets to Jellyfish Fields and the Chum Bucket. A player can picture each stretch as a little journey: notice a platform, consider the next jump, collect what opens the way and reach the exit.
Try undersea detour cards
An original Toysit paper activity: An imaginary sandwich delivery has gone astray. Draw three destination cards: a bubble arch, a shell station and a seaweed garden. Put a small sandwich picture on a fourth card to serve as the delivery marker.
- Give each stop a surprise. The bubble arch might move whenever someone laughs. At the shell station, the announcement could be a very slow song. The garden’s seaweed might insist on telling a joke.
- Add a helpful friend. Invent someone who knows a useful detail: a crab who can read the singing timetable, or a fish who remembers which bubbles stay still. Draw that friend beside the relevant stop.
- Tell the delivery. Move the sandwich picture through the cards. At each destination, explain how the detour changes the plan and how the friend helps.
Shuffle the three stops and tell the trip again. Does the joke arrive before the timetable this time? A partner can draw the person waiting for lunch and supply the final thank-you message. Keep a tiny postcard from each telling to make an album of improbable deliveries.
A small note for returning players
This edition uses passwords for continuing progress. The booklet explains recording the password shown after a completed level and entering it from Continue. A paper record of that code can sit beside a drawing of the last place visited.
