LEGO Ultimate NBA Arena
Explore LEGO Ultimate NBA Arena 3433 as a buildable basketball court with shooting figures, then plan a tabletop session and a simple turn-taking scorecard.

The play at a glance
Build a court that becomes a game
LEGO Ultimate NBA Arena is both a construction project and a tabletop basketball setting. The official 3433 guide matches the court, blue boundaries and hoops in Toysit’s original image. It also illustrates the figures’ press-and-release shooting action.
Once the arena is assembled, taking turns and choosing a simple scoring agreement can make the play easier to follow.
Notice the court as a play space
The hoops, playing area, boundaries and spectator seating serve different roles. Before beginning a game, find the places where hands need access and where a ball might come to rest. A display arrangement and a usable play arrangement may emphasize different details.
The completed-model illustration is a useful reference when identifying a surviving set. A similar LEGO basketball figure or hoop does not by itself establish that every part of an old arena belongs to 3433.
The figure is part of the mechanism
The guide illustrates pressing the figure forward toward the ball, then releasing it to lift and shoot. That physical action is part of the toy’s design. It is distinct from recreating the rules or skills of full-size basketball.
Use the matched guide for assembly and the illustrated movement. This profile does not promise a shot distance, accuracy or restored spring action in an old figure.
Ten figures, an incomplete name list
The original introduction lists seven names after claiming ten figures. The manufacturer’s figure page shows ten, so the seven-name list should not be read as a full inventory. No missing names have been filled in by guessing from the photograph.
Those figures and uniforms belong to the set’s historical NBA presentation. For a new play session, invent team names or roles without treating the old lineup as a current roster.
Plan a fair turn-taking session
Draw a court with two baskets and mark a few imaginary shooting positions. Beside it, make a scorecard with columns for the player, position, attempt and result. Decide in advance how many turns each player gets and what counts as a successful attempt.
If using an appropriate tabletop basketball toy, apply those same agreed conditions to each player and follow that toy’s instructions. On paper alone, use the sheet to plan a fictional match and explain the sequence of turns. These are independent house-play prompts, not official LEGO or NBA rules.
The historical record
Original Toysit coverage
The full original product description and NBA history essay remain below. The lead says ten figures but names seven players; the named list is incomplete. The broad league-history and present-tense statements remain historical copy, not a current NBA reference.
Mini Basketball
Now you can play championship basketball with real NBA players. The Ultimate NBA Arena features 10 amazing collectable Lego NBA mini-figures -- Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, and Jason Kidd.
The National Basketball Association (NBA) was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). It changed its name to the NBA in 1949 after merging with its rival, the National Basketball League (NBL). Over the decades, the NBA has grown into one of the most popular and successful professional sports leagues in the world, thanks in large part to a series of transformative players, including Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James, among others. The league broke new ground in marketing, broadcast partnerships, and global outreach, becoming the first of the major American sports leagues to cultivate a large international following. The NBA was also a pioneer in racial integration, with African American players entering the league as early as the 1950s, and it has continued to be at the forefront of social justice initiatives among professional sports leagues. From its original 11 teams, the NBA has expanded to 30 franchises located across North America, with games being broadcast in over 200 countries. Its annual Finals series has become a global event, and the league has a massive social media following, making it a significant influence in the sports world both in the United States and internationally.
Sources and editorial notes
LEGO’s official 3433 instructions were downloaded and visually inspected, especially pages 4–5 and 36. The figure page shows ten figures, supporting the original count while exposing the incomplete seven-name list. The shooting illustration and final court match the retained model. No additional player identities were inferred from tiny faces or uniforms, and no current roster is implied. No physical set or shooting performance was tested.
