MegaMan Advanced PET
A red-and-gold Advanced PET and its BattleChips invite the role of a Net Operator, with an original mission-debrief story activity.

The play at a glance
A small terminal for an operator’s adventure
A gold line follows the red casing around the screen, and three blue chips wait beside the terminal. The picture suggests a little command station you can hold: watch a challenge unfold, consider a chip and imagine the report you will send when the mission ends.
The chip gives the choice a physical shape
In the documented Advanced PET game, BattleChips supply attacks or support effects. Screen prompts guide a battle, while the player makes choices with the controls. The small chip turns a decision into something tangible: a piece selected from beside the terminal and used at the game’s prompt.
The guide describes solo battles, tournaments and a two-player mode using two Advanced PETs and the specified linking cable. Check the matching instructions and actual pieces before setting up a surviving unit.
Write a NetNavi mission debrief
After a round, set the terminal down and become its fictional mission reporter. On paper, draw three boxes headed “Challenge,” “Choice” and “Afterward.” In the first two, describe a moment you remember from the game and a choice you actually made.
The third box is a space for an invented scene. Perhaps your NetNavi returns to a lantern-lit station, sends a thank-you to a teammate or discovers a door marked “Tomorrow.” Add a line of dialogue in a speech bubble and label that box “Our story continues.”
A friend can take the role of the operator interviewing the returning character: what looked surprising, what would you try next, and what belongs in the mission log? Take turns answering. Keep the paper and homemade story cards beside the terminal; its slot is for the specified BattleChips.

The "MegaMan NT Warrior" cartoon series, known as "Rockman.EXE" in Japan, is a captivating blend of action, adventure, and technology that has garnered a dedicated fanbase since its debut. Based on the Mega Man Battle Network video game series by Capcom, the show explores a futuristic world where the Internet has become integrated into every aspect of daily life. The series follows the adventures of Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan, as they battle various cyber-threats and villains to protect both the digital and real worlds.
The show appeals to audiences for its intricate plots, memorable characters, and the intriguing concept of a digital alter-ego that can be customized with different "Battle Chips" for various abilities. It taps into the allure of connectivity and the Internet, while also touching upon themes of friendship, responsibility, and the ethical use of technology. The action-packed battles keep viewers on the edge of their seats, but it's the underlying themes and character development that give the series depth and staying power. Whether you're a fan of the video games or new to the MegaMan universe, "MegaMan NT Warrior" offers an engaging take on the possibilities—and dangers—of a fully connected world.
