My Scene Sound Lounge
Explore My Scene Sound Lounge’s curved sofa, pull-out dance floor, lights and wind-up disco ball, then plan a miniature evening of music.

The play at a glance
A curved sofa and a dance floor beneath a disco ball
My Scene Sound Lounge gathers a tiny club around a round platform. Nolee sits on a curved sofa beneath a hanging disco ball, with a DJ area and stool nearby. The floor pulls out to make room for dancing, colored lights brighten the columns, and a connected music player supplies the soundtrack through the lounge’s speakers.
Open up the room for the evening
The lounge combines places to sit, play music and dance. Pulling out the floor section expands the gathering area; the DJ counter and stool help define another corner. A low table provides a place for the miniature party accessories, and its opening top stores up to three CDs.
Imagine the room just before the guests arrive. A player might arrange the seats, place a tiny welcome sign near the entrance and decide who will introduce the first song. Nolee comes with the set, giving the gathering a first guest or host.
Add music, lights and a turning ball
The illustrated guide shows a cord connecting the platform to an external music player. Three AA batteries power the lounge’s electronic features. The column lights change colors, a spotlight shines on the disco ball, and a button lets the player change the colors.
The disco ball has its own wind-up mechanism: a roof knob winds it, and a slide switch releases its turn. The guide illustrates the switch positions and connections. Together, the lighting, music and spinning ball give a small room several details to watch while the player moves the dolls through a dance scene.
Plan a three-part music evening
- Draw a room with a welcome area, seats and a dance space.
- Give the gathering a name and choose a host.
- Write a three-part program: greeting, favorite dance and farewell.
- Use dolls or paper characters to act out each part, adding your own humming or clapping.
- Let each guest suggest a name for the next gathering.
This original Toysit activity works with a drawn room and any small figures. The player supplies the introductions, gestures and conversations.
The historical record
Original Toysit coverage
The original toy description and broader play discussion are preserved below as historical coverage.
My Scene Dance Place
The Sound Lounge is the perfect place for the My Scene dolls to hang out and dance the night away. The lounge comes complete with a spinning disco ball and lounge area with a cool table, faux candles and water carafe with glasses. You can even store your CDs in the table that slides open. Play your own music through the lounge speakers. The dance floor slides out for space to rock out.
The My Scene franchise extended beyond dolls to encompass a vibrant world of online games, animated movies, and interactive websites. The brand capitalized on the rise of internet culture, allowing children to engage with their favorite characters in a virtual space. The online component added a new layer of engagement, enabling kids to customize their avatars, create virtual fashion shows, and interact with the My Scene world in a dynamic and innovative way.
