Veggie Tales Floor Puzzle
Explore the crowded VeggieTales Playground puzzle picture with Bob and Larry, then invent a three-stop afternoon using paper invitations.

The play at a glance
Bob and Larry have company at the playground
Larry the Cucumber wears dark glasses near the front of the picture, with round red Bob the Tomato nearby. More vegetable characters gather around playground equipment behind them, filling the yellow-framed scene with faces, colors and little places to look.
The original Toysit page identifies this Talicor floor puzzle as Playground, a 40-piece picture. Its busy cast gives the finished scene a second life as a setting for invitations, conversations and imagined visits.
Find a face, then its surroundings
A recognizable character can provide a useful starting point in a crowded puzzle. Find the pieces around Larry’s glasses or Bob’s red outline, then look outward for a nearby stretch of equipment, ground or another character. Small groups of connected pieces gradually become parts of the same playground.
VeggieTales places talking fruit and vegetable characters in humorous stories with Christian and biblical themes. The official character guide describes Bob and Larry as friends and co-hosts. In this playground picture, their familiar appearances offer starting points for a player’s own small story.
Try playground invitations
For this original Toysit activity, use the completed picture or the box illustration as a pretend afternoon’s meeting place.
- Choose three visible spots in the scene. Give each a short name based on something you can point to.
- Draw a paper invitation for one character. Add a picture clue showing the first meeting spot.
- Invent a greeting and a plan for visiting the three spots. Perhaps one stop is for a song, another for a funny story and the last for a group picture.
- Let a partner choose a second character and reply to the invitation. Tell the afternoon together, moving from one pictured spot to the next.
The words, stops and events are supplied by the players. A child can draw the invitation and dictate its message to someone who writes.
Share a little scene-finding challenge
Take turns describing a visible detail while a partner looks for it. Start with a broad clue such as a color, then add a nearby object if more help is useful. Finish by explaining which part of the picture helped you recognize the answer.
