GeoTrax Tracktown Railway
Explore GeoTrax Tracktown Railway’s depot, pipe works, coal loader and gantry, with an accessory recall check and a paper four-station handover game.

The play at a glance
Four busy stops around a little railway
A green raised curve sweeps around this GeoTrax layout, meeting brown track at ground level. A yellow gantry straddles one stop, a blue tower marks another, and a white-and-green depot waits beside the route. Each place suggests a different job. Imagine the station crews passing along a message as carefully as they pass along a load.
Check an older collection before play
A specific GeoTrax accessory recall matters when sets have been mixed. CPSC recall 07-302 covers red locomotives with yellow ladder and horn details supplied in Freightway Transport H5705 and Special Track Pack K3013. The affected bottom date codes are 212-6CK through 325-6CK or 001-7CK through 232-7CK. Excess lead in the surface paint prompted the recall.
Take affected toys away from children and contact Fisher-Price using its recall support. Keep an uncertain matching engine out of use while its identity is resolved. The older B1836 set name and photograph do not establish which later accessories an owner has. The paper activity below offers a railway story while a collection is being checked.
A different task at each stop
The matched instructions show a gantry for lifting the supplied crates or pipes, a pipe works with a loading wheel, and a coal chute that feeds the coal car. The depot holds the controller; its train sound feature works with the controller seated there. These distinct stations give a trip a beginning, a job and an arrival.
After checking every owned item against applicable recalls, follow the exact set instructions for assembly and use. An adult handles batteries, and hair should be kept away from train wheels as the guide directs.
Try the four-station handover
This original Toysit activity uses four large paper cards and a large cargo-message card.
- Draw a depot, pipe works, coal loader and gantry on separate cards. Arrange them in a loop on a table.
- Draw a pretend load on the cargo card. Choose a purpose for it, such as pipes for a new garden fountain.
- At the depot, announce the destination and pass the card to the next station. Each player supplies one sentence about the load: “The fountain pipes are ready.”
- At each stop, add a detail to the journey. The gantry crew might check the destination, and the depot clerk might welcome the returning train.
- Complete the loop and tell the whole delivery story. Swap station roles or invent a new cargo request for another round.
The cards carry the whole game; a finger can trace the route. Keep paper and other added materials outside an actual train mechanism.
Make a station log
Write the four sentences beneath the station pictures. A simple delivery now has four voices: the person who requested it, the crew who prepared it, the team who checked it and the clerk who recorded its arrival. On the next trip, change one detail and discover how the rest of the story follows.

Geotrax Railroad and Track System
Kids get on the fast track to imaginative adventure with this fascinating 40-piece system. Young engineers can control the train at the depot and activate realistic train sounds. Or take the remote out of the depot for train control all around the set. Kids can also have fun simply pushing the diesel engine and train cars around the track. There's interactive excitement at 4 sites-the depot, pipe works, coal loader, and loader gantry-and a world of hands-on learning. Accessory items bring new vehicles and sounds to add to the adventure. All aboard for playtime fun. Playsets and accessories sold separately and subject to availability.
Pretending to be a train engineer opens up a magical world of imagination and exploration for children. Steering their own train, whether through a physical toy or imaginative play, provides a sense of control and accomplishment. The role allows kids to explore concepts like speed, direction, and logistics, as they navigate their train through winding tracks, tunnels, and stations. The characteristic sounds of a train—its whistle, the clatter of wheels on tracks, and the chug of the engine—add an auditory layer to the experience that enhances realism. Children can also delve into problem-solving as they encounter scenarios like track switches, broken bridges, or scheduling conflicts at train stations. Playing a train engineer can be a solo endeavor or a collaborative one, offering opportunities to develop social skills like communication and teamwork. For many children, the role of a train engineer is a synthesis of adventure, responsibility, and endless curiosity, making it an evergreen choice for imaginative play.
Sources and editorial notes
Fisher-Price’s B1836 record matches the earlier 40-piece Tracktown description. Both listed manuals were downloaded; all 16 pages of the English B1836a-0920 guide were visually reviewed. CPSC 07-302 concerns specified H5705 and K3013 accessory locomotives, not every GeoTrax product. The original image cannot clear an owner’s mixed collection. Mattel’s recall identification page remains available; current replacement availability was not established. No physical testing or collection-wide recall clearance is claimed.
