ImagiBRICKS Giant Building Blocks: walls, windows and small-town stories
Build low walls and colorful shop fronts with ImagiBRICKS Giant Building Blocks, plus an original window-town activity using the pictured cardboard bricks.

The play at a glance
Big colored bricks, many small-town possibilities
The pictured ImagiBRICKS have red, yellow and blue brick patterns on chunky rectangular forms. Some stretch across a gap; others stand as short supports. Toysit’s earlier account describes lightweight corrugated-cardboard blocks in three sizes, a combination suited to rearranging a wall, a window or an imaginary street.Arrange openings as well as walls
A window begins with an empty space. Set two short supports apart, then consider which block can span them in a low arrangement. Change the gap and the whole little building can become a shop counter, a station entrance or a puppet’s doorway.
The earlier description gives the red, yellow and blue blocks different sizes. Instead of turning that into a construction rule for every edition, compare the actual blocks in front of you: place smaller pieces beside a larger one and see which edges line up. The shapes become the starting point for the next design.
Try the window-town challenge
This original Toysit activity makes a street from two low shop fronts. Keep the structures at floor level and use the blocks as scenery.
- Build one shop front with a wide opening and another with a narrower one.
- Draw a sign for each shop. A bakery, hat shop or parcel office gives the scene a purpose.
- Invent a parcel arriving in town. Describe which shop receives it and how the shopkeeper greets the visitor.
Rebuild one front with a different arrangement and tell what changed: perhaps the bakery has a new serving window or the parcel office needs a second doorway. A paper character moved by the storyteller can visit both shops.
Keep the town easy to change
Leave room between the buildings so the story can travel along the street. Photograph or sketch a favorite arrangement before taking it apart, then try another layout with the same pieces.
Use the matching set’s folding instructions when preparing cardboard blocks. Play with low structures on a clear, dry surface; the activity here involves arranging scenery, with no standing, sitting or climbing on the blocks.

Giant Building Block 40-piece Set by Imagiplay
Imagibricks Giant Building Blocks are an award-winning classic toy beloved by generations. Because they are open-ended, kid's imaginations run high as they spend hours creating life-size structures. These bricks are strong, they'll support the weight of a 200 lb. adult, yet lightweight. Constructed of lightweight corrugated cardboard, if the blocks tumble, no one gets hurt. The blocks are printed with non-toxic inks and with their new, water-resistant coating are strong and durable for years of creative play. Because Imagibricks are unit blocks, they can even be used to teach basic math skills. The blocks come in three sizes and colors. The large red block measures 12 x 6 x 3. The medium yellow block is exactly half that at 6 x 6 x 3, and the small blue block measures 6 x 3 x 3.
Giant building blocks offer an immersive, hands-on experience that captivates children's imaginations in ways that smaller toys may not. The sheer size of these blocks adds a new layer of excitement and challenge, turning ordinary playtime into an adventure in construction and creativity. Children not only learn basic principles of architecture and engineering but also develop crucial skills like problem-solving, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills. The tactile, physical nature of giant blocks makes them accessible and appealing to kids of various ages, allowing for cooperative play and even fostering social skills like sharing and teamwork. For children, the world of giant building blocks is a playground of endless possibilities, where they can create everything from towering castles to intricate mazes, all while having a tremendous amount of fun.
