Melody Kitty has long white limbs, a fluffy face and a bright turquoise-and-purple outfit. Beside her, a pink trunk opens to reveal clothes, shoes and accessories. The set invites a player to dress a performer, choose a pose and make up the show she is about to give.
Open the wardrobe
The photograph makes the dressing-up idea easy to see. Zebra-striped clothes hang inside the pink case, small shoes sit on shelves, and Melody wears tall turquoise footwear with fluffy trim. A brush and other accessories are arranged nearby, ready for the player to choose.
Toysit’s original account describes two sides to the trunk: a dressing area with storage, and a back that folds down into a catwalk or performance stage. Packing, preparing and performing can all belong to the same little story.
Choose a pose and a personality
The archive describes Melody’s limbs and tail as bendable, giving the player several ways to arrange her. A raised arm can become a wave to the audience; a tilted stance can introduce an imaginary dance move. The clothes and pose work together to suggest the character she is playing today.
Imagine Melody preparing for a concert in a garden full of toy animals. She might choose an especially bright outfit for the opening song, then change into something different for an encore. You supply her voice, lyrics and reasons for taking the stage.
Give the show a beginning
Start in the dressing room. Choose one outfit, one accessory and a title for the performance. The guitar and headset described in the original account make useful story props: the guitar suggests a song, while the headset can make Melody the host of the whole event.
Other dolls or plush animals can join the audience or become fellow performers. Give each a short introduction so everyone has a part. After the final bow, putting the pieces back into their places becomes the closing scene.
Write a tiny show program
Fold a piece of paper and fill in these four details:

Each Funky Trunk is a carrying case, dressing room stage and includes a Pose Me Pet. A girl can get her pet ready for the big show in the dressing room, then, her pet can go out on stage, modeling the latest fashions or performing a hit song. What do you get when you combine a kitty, a catwalk, fashion accessories, and the brand name Barbie? The Pose Me Pets Funky Trunk. The pink plastic wardrobe stands 14 inches tall and is packed with plenty of gear: two pairs of shoes, two pairs of sunglasses, a brush, a guitar, a headset, and more. Melody is the included white plush cat that has long legs and a tail, all bendable to give her loads of posing options. The feline's fashion outfits include a pink vinyl skirt, zebra-striped pants, and a lavender top with turquoise fur accents. When Melody's trunk is opened from the front, there are shelves and hangers to store all of her things. Folding down the back of the trunk creates a catwalk/stage where Melody can show off her fashion creativity or entertain her fans with the guitar and headset. Pull up the handle on the back of the wardrobe to roll the trunk along for easy travel.
