The play at a glance

A looping track winds around a miniature day out

A yellow track curves around Polly World’s tall central structure, passing a large Ferris wheel and a cluster of smaller attractions. Teacups sit near the front, and tiny figures wait beside the turquoise base. The layout gives a player several places to visit within one busy little park.

Different rides invite different movements

The 56228 instructions distinguish the park’s powered action from its hand-spun teacups. A switch controls the Ferris wheel, while a lever releases the coaster and a mechanized arm helps it along its circuit. The teacup module can be turned by hand.

Those different actions give each stop its own character. A player can imagine the view from a wheel seat, announce the next coaster departure or choose which friend sits in each cup. The small ticket booth and café make room for conversations between rides.

Choose a route through the park

A miniature outing becomes a story when the visitors have a plan. Perhaps one friend wants to begin with the Ferris wheel, while another suggests meeting at the café afterward. A third can keep the ticket and announce the final attraction.

The guide also illustrates a larger arrangement with the separate Butterfly Ride and Carousel connected to the amusement park. That picture explains the broader Polly World system. The original Toysit photograph centers on the base park, with its wheel, coaster and teacup ride.

Draw a ticket for three stops

  1. Give a paper park a name and draw its entrance ticket.
  2. Choose a first ride, a snack stop and a final attraction.
  3. Mark the route with three small pictures.
  4. Let each paper visitor say what they hope to see.
  5. Finish by drawing a souvenir of a favorite moment.

This original activity uses a drawn park and invented dialogue. For an existing set, match its product number to the guide before connecting ride modules or setting up powered movement.

Sources and editorial notes

Mattel’s 56228 record and all five pages of its guide were read and visually reviewed. The retained photograph matches the base amusement park. Its guide lists Butterfly Ride 56226 and Carousel 56227 as separate connecting sets; Mattel records for those were also reviewed. Toysit’s original giftset wording includes them, but that bundle’s packaging remains unrecovered. The park-ticket activity is original; no physical testing was performed.
